PHOTOGRAMMETRY

Photogrammetry

At Montez Architecture Ltd, we combine state-of-the-art photogrammetry and drone technology to achieve comprehensive and accurate scans of buildings, churches, spires, towers, and more. Our innovative approach has placed us at the forefront of this technology for the past eight years, allowing us to deliver exceptional results in the conservation and restoration of historic structures.

Our expertise in photogrammetry has seen us travel across the country to lecture on its applications. We have used this technology to scan minute archaeological artefacts, record archaeological trenches and finds, and capture the intricate details of entire buildings and extensive landscapes. The versatility of photogrammetry, combined with our advanced drone technology, allows us to overcome traditional limitations, with the weather being our only significant constraint.

Using drones, we can perform full photogrammetry scans of structures that are otherwise difficult to access. This includes high and complex areas such as church spires and towers, ensuring every detail is meticulously documented. The data collected from these scans is used to generate rectified images, which are essential for accurate markup and efficient repair of historic buildings and structures.

Our use of drone technology enhances our ability to capture high-resolution images and create detailed 3D models, providing a clear and comprehensive understanding of each project. This not only speeds up the conservation and repair processes but also improves the quality and accuracy of our work, ensuring that every project benefits from the latest technological advancements.

Discover how Montez Architecture Ltd can leverage photogrammetry and drone technology to provide detailed, accurate, and efficient documentation for your historic building projects. Our innovative methods ensure that every aspect of your structure is captured with precision, facilitating effective conservation and restoration efforts.

Services

  • 3D Modelling: Creating precise 3D models of buildings and sites using advanced photogrammetry techniques, providing detailed visualisations for planning and conservation. Model can be uploaded and free spun around, studied and shared.

  • 3D Model Hosting: Hosting of 3d models that can be shared and marked up by the design and construction team.

  • 3D Printing: We have in house 3d printing and laser engraving capabilities, working with the photogrammetry we can 3d print buildings, landscapes and interventions.

  • Drone Surveys: Utilising drone technology to capture high-resolution aerial images, offering comprehensive and accurate surveys of large and complex sites. Given that we are architects, we know what to capture so you dont have to sift through hours of footage. Using the latest lightweight we can fly with minimal restrictions in built up areas, drone pilots are licensed with insurance.
